Amazon Dash
2015 - 2019
Many assumed the Dash button launch was an early April Fool’s joke when they launched on March 31st, 2015. These wifi-connected buttons could order everything from condoms to cat food. Even toilet paper. Stick the brightly colored button on the washing machine and press the button when you are running out of detergent. Perhaps a good idea, but shoppers were frustrated because prices could change without notice and you only found out what things cost after ordering. And who needs buttons when Jeff Bezos’ spy-machine Alexa is always listening awaiting your order.
