Humane AI Pin
Humane’s AI Pin, a screen-less device that projects onto the wearer’s hand, was hyped as a smartphone killer, but its sales say otherwise. Launched with broken hardware, underdeveloped software, and abysmal battery life, one reviewer labeled it “the worst product I’ve ever reviewed.” At one point Humane even had to warn users to stop charging the AI Pin due to fire risks. Despite $240 million in backing from powerful Silicon Valley investors, it flopped — largely because of Humane’s toxic positive culture. Humane’s founders silenced all criticism, even firing a software engineer for “talking negatively about Humane.” With no space for feedback, the AI Pin launched while employees knew it was doomed. Turns out you can’t “good vibes” your way to a good product.
