Amopé Foot File
2016-2018
This rechargeable foot file buffs away hard skin in minutes, leaving you with beautifully soft feet. Consumers loved the device; however, it was unprofitable. In 2018, the large consumer-goods corporation that owns the Amopé brand (Scholl in Europe) blamed the foot file for their disappointing profits and falling stock price. The problem was that the device simply lasted too long; consumers only needed to buy the refills that make the company money once every three years. Paradoxically, this innovation failed because it was too good.
